David was classically trained in the art of brick, stone and tile in 2004 through The International Masonry Institute, Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union Local 3. Through years of work through award winning union shops as well as private companies, David’s expertise would span from restoration of antique cathedrals throughout the Archdiocese of Boston through local and public schools and college/ Universities through residential projects ranging from chimney/ fireplace building to patio installation and interior tile.

David relocated with his young family to the mid coast Maine area in 2014 and quickly became accustomed to the need for chimney repair and rebuild in his area. In 2016 David had teamed up with his friend and chimney mentor, Chris Kulbe, the previous owner of Ridge Top Chimney, and in 2018 David was able to purchase the locally beloved chimney sweeping shop from Chris but was now able to offer masonry services.

David had become a Certified Chimney Professional and Certified Chimney Reliner in 2018 where candidates are trained in basic thermodynamics, venting efficiency and NFPA 211 fire safety codes. Candidates then must pass a proctored exam. CCP is a now nationally accredited through the National Chimney Sweep Guild.
